People have always said “honey tea,” but I personally can’t stand the taste of honey in anything.
A good cheap herb is spearmint – it does not do too much, as its effects are fairly mild, but buy fresh leaves, clean them, and crush/tear them. Breath the fragrence, or put it in a pot of boiling tea and allow it to break down in the tea (typically remove it before drinking, lol). If you can stand it, mix some honey in too and use a “Camomile” tea, but I don’t like those flavors much.
Another one that’s been SAID to calm nerves is Ginseng, but I would be careful, because it is often paired with caffine in drinks, which can have the opposite effect. Also, use it in moderation (spearmint you can use as much as you want, though).
There are lists of other herbs that would work, but these 2 are some of the easiest to come by.
It is so stressful to buy pot and fight the paranoia and hunger that it ain’t worth it. Go to the health food store and get Calm’s Forte. I promise you this stuff will calm you down. It is the next best thing since Valium. You put it under your tongue and chill.

I have SAD (social anxiety disorder) , and i use a smoking herb called “shamans pipe” , it will relive your stress , just buy a pipe , walk to the woods and smoke away.
That is when i am most happy.
I also smoke pot which i also love , but it does not work for a minority of people , like you.
I get shamans pipe from from a legal highs shop , go to your nearest one they might have it.
